Nuheat Named One of Canada's 50 Best Managed CompaniesVancouver, B.C. 9 February 2009
Nuheat Industries Ltd. was named one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies Monday, becoming one of only four companies in British Columbia to receive the prestigious award.
Based in Delta, Nuheat is the industry leading manufacturer and marketer of electric radiant floor heating systems. With two decades of industry experience, Nuheat offers a full line of floor heating solutions and controls, distributed across North America through tile, electrical and flooring outlets.
"As a company, we are extremely proud and honored to win this award," said John Rose, president of Nuheat. "At Nuheat, we pride ourselves on cultivating a diverse and close-knit corporate culture and to be recognized as one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies illustrates how that dedication to culture can reap economical rewards."
Only those companies with over $10 million annual revenue are eligible to apply for the award, sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC Commercial Banking, National Post and Queen's School of Business. Representing over $6.4 billion in combined revenue, Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies also employ over 28,000 in Canada.
Since 1993, hundreds of companies and entrepreneurs annually vie for a spot on the list, and are subjected to rigorous independent evaluation of not only managerial skills and practices, but also revenues and growth.
"This year's win is particularly meaningful to us," said Rose, "because it marks our second consecutive win."
Once companies win the coveted award, they are subject to an annual abbreviated requalification process for the next two years. In the third year, companies must once again submit to the entire qualification process.
This is the second consecutive time Nuheat has undergone the full qualification process and won.
