Nuheat Donates to ABC's Emmy Award-winning Program, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"Vancouver, B.C. 5 May 2011
Nuheat-the leader in floor heating systems-donated a custom heating system to a worthy family on ABC's award winning television hit, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." The family's 9-year old son, Patrick Sharrock, suffers from Brittle Bone Disease which inhibits his ability to walk and often restricts him to the floor. The 60 minute Season 8 Finale episode, filmed near Chattanooga, GA, will air on primetime television on the ABC network, Sunday, May 15th 2011 8/7c.
The deserving Sharrock Family was the grateful recipients of the beautiful new residence donated by "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." Patrick Sharrock's rare genetic condition stems from the body's inability to produce the necessary collagen for strong bones. Brittle Bone Disease has no known cure. During Patrick's short life, he has already endured 59 broken bones, all results of minor accidents. To avoid the risk of further injury, Patrick cannot participate in most common childhood activities. Despite this setback, Patrick acts as the poster child for his local Shriners Hospital and amazingly maintains a joyful and inspiring spirit.
"When we had learned Nuheat had the opportunity to offer enhanced comfort to Patrick's everyday life, we were thrilled at the chance to work with ‘Extreme Makeover' by providing Patrick and his family a Nuheat Floor Heating System," said Suzie Cho, Nuheat's Vice President of Marketing. "His story has deeply touched all of us at Nuheat and it has been our honor to be of support."
