Warranty

Nuheat’s warranty obligations are limited to the terms set forth below:

Nuheat Industries Limited warrants each Nuheat Mat and Nuheat Cable that it sells to be free from defects in material and workmanship effective on the date of the purchase by the original purchaser and shall remain effective for a period of twenty-five (25) years under tile, stone, laminate, and engineered wood floors from the date of purchase. The maximum liability of the company is limited to the cost of the original Nuheat Mat and/or Nuheat Cable multiplied by the percentage of the warranty period remaining.

Exclusions

The following items are not covered by this warranty:

  • Any incidental or consequential damage
  • Any failure that results from an accident, abuse, neglect, or failure to operate or install the product in accordance with the instructions provided in the installation manual and installed by a qualified electrician.
  • Costs of removal, freight, delivery and re-installment of the Nuheat Mat or Nuheat Cable.
  • Nuheat Mat and Nuheat Cable are not warranted if used for purposes other than those they were designed to perform.

This warranty may not be transferred and is exclusively to the sole benefit of the original purchaser.

 

Please note the following warranty conditions:

  • Nuheat must be on a dedicated circuit and protected by a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI).
  • Nuheat must be tested (resistance & insulation) with a digital ohmmeter before, during and after the installation. Readings must be recorded in the printed installation instructions.
  • Nuheat must be installed and connected according to the specifications set out in the US National Electric Code, Part 1 of the Canadian Electric Code and all local/municipal electrical regulations and standards.
  • A certified electrician familiar with residential/commercial electrical installation codes and practices must connect Nuheat to power.

Nuheat’s warranty obligations are limited to the terms set forth below:

Nuheat warrants its Freeze Protection Products to be free from defects in material and workmanship. All Nuheat Freeze Protection Products must be used with approved components and accessories. Use of non-approved components and accessories will void all warranties. The maximum liability of the Company is limited to the cost of the original product multiplied by the percentage of the warranty period remaining.

Nuheat shall in no event be liable for the cost of removal or installation, for loss or damage to or loss of use of facilities or other property, loss of revenue, loss of use of revenue, loss of anticipated profits, or other damages or costs of any kind whatsoever, whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential, and in no event shall Nuheat’s liability exceed an amount equal to price of the product.

Warranty period is as follows providing product is installed and tested as is outlined in Nuheat specification and installation information.

Heat Trace for Pipes Freeze Protection and Roof & Gutter De-icing

9mm self-regulating cable (9FP and 9PK series) – three (3) years from date of purchase-warranty solely applicable with use on water pipes.

13mm self-regulating cable (13FP series, 13PK and Weather-Ready series) – three (3) years from date of purchase – warranty solely applicable with use on water pipes or, in roof & gutter de-icing applications.

13mm self-regulating cable for roof & gutter (13RG series) – three (3) years from date of purchase – warranty solely applicable with use on water pipes or, in roof & gutter de-icing applications.

Connection Components including SpeedConnect and Heat Shrink components – three (3) years from date of purchase – warranty solely applicable with use with Nuheat self-regulating cables.

Nuheat self-regulating cable is eligible for an extended ten (10) year warranty (standard three year warranty + seven (7) years), provided the online warranty form is completed within thirty (30) days from the date of installation. This limited warranty extension remains subject to the terms, limitations, conditions, and exclusions of Nuheat’s Limited Product Warranty for self-regulating cable.

Snow Melting

Self-Regulating Snow Melt Cable

Self-regulating Snow Melt Cable (Weather-Ready series SM32) – three (3) years from date of purchase – warranty solely applicable with use for snow melting applications in concrete or under paving stones.

Nuheat self-regulating cable is eligible for an extended ten (10) year warranty (standard three year warranty + seven (7) years), provided the online warranty form is completed within thirty (30) days from the date of installation. This limited warranty extension remains subject to the terms, limitations, conditions, and exclusions of Nuheat’s Limited Product Warranty for self-regulating cable.

Any failures caused by structural issues, cracks, and other differential motion within the structure or on the surface/topping material are excluded from standard and extended warranties.
Weather-Ready Mineral Insulated (MI) Cable

Weather-Ready Mineral Insulated (MI) Cable – two (2) years from date of purchase.

Nuheat Weather-Ready MI Cable is eligible for an extended ten (10) year warranty (standard two year warranty + eight (8) years), provided the online warranty form is completed within thirty (30) days from the date of installation. This limited warranty extension remains subject to the terms, limitations, conditions, and exclusions of Nuheat’s Limited Product Warranty for self-regulating cable.

Any failures caused by structural issues, cracks, and other differential motion within the structure or on the surface/topping material are excluded from standard and extended warranties.
