Setup and System Requirements

Before proceeding, ensure you have the following:

  • An account setup on MyNuheat.com with your own username and password
  • At least one linked Signature thermostat in your MyNuheat.com account - only linked thermostats can be connected to Google Home
  • Confirmed that you can control the Signature thermostat(s) via the Nuheat app and/or MyNuheat.com
  • Downloaded the Google Home app on your smartphone
 

Once you have completed the above setup requirements, follow the steps below to enable the Google Home Action for the Signature thermostat:
(NOTE - screenshots of the app may ​​differ depending on the smartphone being used)

1. Open the Google Home app on your smartphone

2. Click the plus sign to ‘Add’

3. Click ‘Set up device’

4. Under ‘Works with Google’ section, click on ‘Have something already set up?’

5. Scroll/Search for SIGNATURE thermostat and click on it

6. Sign into your MyNuheat.com account using your username and password for MyNuheat.com

7. When you see the permission request to link your Google account with your MyNuheat.com account, click ‘Yes, allow’

8. Click ‘Done’ on the top left and close the app page

9. You should now see the Signature thermostat(s) that are available ​to be linked to Google Home

10. Select one thermostat (if multiple) and click 'Next' on the bottom right

11. Choose a location/home for that Signature thermostat and click 'Next' on the bottom right

12. Choose a room for that Signature thermostat and click 'Next' on the bottom right

13. Assign location and rooms for all Signature thermostats (if there are multiple) in your account 

14.Try some voice commands in the table below using the thermostat name that you assigned to the Signature or ​room in your Google Home app

Set a specific temperature Changes the 'Set to' temperature until the next setpoint in your program/schedule. The thermostat will resume its program/schedule at that time. Cancel any bypass Cancels any changes made to the 'Set to' temperature. The thermostat will resume its program/schedule at that time. Individual thermostat or Group "Hey Google, set [thermostat/group name] to HEAT." "Hey Google, set entire house to heat."
Turn thermostat OFF (aka Away Mode) Changes the 'Set to' temperature to 41°F/5°C and will hold it indefinitely. This effectively turns your floor heating system off. Individual thermostat only "Hey Google, turn [thermostat name] OFF." "Hey Google, turn living room off."
Turning thermostat ON Cancels any changes made to the 'Set to' temperature. The thermostat will resume its program/schedule at that time. Individual thermostat only  "Hey Google, turn [thermostat name] ON." "Hey Google, turn living room on."
Find out current temperature No changes are made. Current temperature is announced. Individual thermostat only "Hey Google, what is [thermostat name] temperature?" "Hey Google, what is the temperature of the bedroom?"
Make the temperature slightly warmer Increases the 'Set to' temperature by 2°F / 1°C until the next setpoint in your program/schedule. The thermostat will resume its program/schedule at that time. Individual thermostat or Group "Hey Google, make [thermostat/group name] warmer." "Hey Google, make entire house warmer."
Make the temperature slightly cooler Decreases the 'Set to' temperature by 5°F / 3°C until the next setpoint in your program/schedule. The thermostat will resume its program/schedule at that time. Individual thermostat or Group "Hey Google, make [thermostat/group name] cooler/colder." "Hey Google, make entire house cooler/colder."
